LATSERT laboratory:

• is the European Commission's approved laboratory for testing of cigarettes

• is the only laboratory in Latvia providing testing of cigarettes in accordance with Directive 2014/40/EU

• is accredited in the field of cigarette testing since 1998. The accreditation covers the determination of tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide content in cigarette smoke as well as ignition propensities of cigarettes according to the requirements of international standards

• has been providing cigarette testing services to the state market surveillance institutions of Latvia and other countries, as well as tobacco product manufacturers and importers, including the international tobacco industry leaders for more than 10 years
