Product certification – activity of an independent body aimed at determining whether the product meets the defined requirements.

The fact that the certificate is issued by an independent body gives it special importance in building confidence of customers and partners with regard to the quality and safety of the product; it helps to assure that the product conforms to the requirements of EU legislation or other government legislation that is particularly important given the responsibility of each entrepreneur about the safety of the products offered on the market and the different laws in different countries; in prevention of claims of the state supervision authorities.
