The aim of the cosmetic product certification is to assess and confirm the conformity of cosmetic products and/or the respective manufacturing processes to requirements set out in the Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and Council on cosmetic products.

The regulation establishes rules to be complied with by any cosmetic products made available on the EU market, in order to ensure the functioning of the internal market and a high level of protection of human health.

In accordance with the requirements of the Regulation manufacturing process of cosmetic products should comply with good manufacturing practice (GMP) provisions set out in the harmonised standard EN ISO 22716 Cosmetics – Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) – Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices.

By carrying out the certification of cosmetic products one may receive certificate of conformity

Certification of food supplements can provide many benefits for the improvement of company's competitiveness, entry in new markets and maximization of the potential of the existing markets. The certificate confirms that the particular supplement meets certain requirements – requirements of the regulations, national or international standards regulating the particular product or market.

As certification means complex examination of the product, therefore, the acquisition of it may also ensure the reduction of various financial and reputational risks.

Certificates of conformity issued by LATSERT are recognized throughout the European Union and serve as a proof that the company is able to meet high quality requirements.

Also importers of food supplements prefer to cooperate with the producers from third countries, who have a certificate of conformity giving evidences of the product conformity to the EU requirements. It enables to obtain assurance that even after some period of time the importer will not have problems in selling the manufacturer's products in the European Union.
