Testing of articles intended to come into contact with food

 LATSERT laboratory is the only accredited laboratory in Latvia carrying out testing of:

•  materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodaccording to the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and other EU legislation, including overall migration in different food simulants, depending on intended use of the material or article;
  • the specific migration of various substances (pentachlorophenol, acrylamide, formaldehyde, melamine, primary aromatic amines, styrene, phenol, barium, cobalt, copper, iron, lithium, manganese, zinc etc.);
  • lead and cadmium migration from ceramic articles;
  • potential impact of the material on the organoleptic characteristics of food;

• metals and alloys materials and articlesintended to come into contact with food according to the Council of Europe Resolution CM/Res(2013)9) – determination of  Al, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Sn, V, Zn, As, Ba, TI, Be, Cd, Hg, Pb, Sb.
