Food industry is one of the most strictly regulated areas of business in the European Union (EU). Food companies involved in any sectors of the food chain have to follow a number of regulatory requirements - both EU regulations and decisions, as well as the laws and regulations of the particular member state in regard to: 

  • food production, processing, storage, distribution and other processes; 

  • self-control, including the implementation of HACCP principles;

  • the use of food additives, flavourings, vitamins and minerals;
