Expertise - Food safety assessment

Article 17 of the aforementioned Regulation provides that food and feed business operators at all stages of production, processing and distribution within the businesses under their control shall ensure that foods satisfy the requirements of food law which are relevant to their activities and shall verify that such requirements are met.

LATSERT carries out examinations upon the request of entrepreneurs or state surveillance institutions, providing an assessment of an independent body as to whether:
  • the food or its ingredients conform with the requirements for chemical and microbiological contamination, food additives used, the production methods and ingredients used
  • labelling of the product is made in accordance with the relevant provisions including use of warnings about allergens and health claims
  • product manufacturing and storage is carried out while meeting the hygiene requirements (including the ones set out in Regulation 852/2004 and Regulation 853/2004).
We offer:
  • testing of the product/its ingredients/packaging material with sequential issuance of conclusion on conformity
  • evaluation of contents/recipe of the product
  • assessment of the information given in the specifications
  • assessment of data given in the packaging material declaration of conformity, etc.
After the assessment, you will get a conclusion stating that the product conforms to the safety requirements or a detailed presentation of additional actions necessary to ensure the conformity of the product.
